REFORM OR NOT TO REFORM
President Obama has invited the right to join the party, so he can get his health reform bill passed. Is this a real gesture or just a means to put the blame somewhere else when it either passes and none of us like it, or it doesn’t pass because it’s full of unnecessary programs that will bankrupt us?
President Obama has waited for over a year to give us a peak at his idea of a bill, and he brings it out before meeting with the right. Wouldn’t it make more sense to wait and start a brand new bill. One with both sides wishes on it, pared down to some reasonable and passable bill.
Come on guys, this is for the peoples well-being isn’t it? Oh thats right, it’s just for political gotcha’s!!
Our Honored Troops
May God bless those soldiers who were injured and take in His arms those who were killed Thursday at Ft. Hood, Texas.
Granny and GPaw send their deepest sympathy to each and every one of those brave souls, and to all of the families and loved ones who have been through so much.
We cannot understand such violence but know that God knows the answers and someday will bring the solution to it all.
Bring Balance to the System
It is time for ever voter to start thinking who they want to vote for in the 2010 election.
We have such an imbalance with the Democrats holding the majority of positions in Congress and we must even it out. Imbalance is particularly dangerous for a democracy. This present situation has proved the point.
No matter what side you are on, I do not believe that the majority of Democrats in this country want to go to a socialist or Marxist government, but we are being pushed towards that.
It has been proven across the world that you cannot have a “free” socialist government. They will quickly take control of the media, take over running of the businesses, and what is taught in school, (sound familiar).
We have some very important positions up for grabs and it is up to each of you to make sure you make an educated decision.
You cannot stay home this time. You must get out and vote in 2010. Balance or Socialism which do you want?
Health Care Costs
I listen to the media every day be it on the radio, television, or Internet. Everyone seems to have their own idea on how to manage the existing health care system. The government in all it’s wisdom wants to open up another mint and print some more money. This would be the money they use to run the nations health care system. You know, like they run social security, Freddy Mac, Fanny Mae, and Medicare. I would think that no matter what your political beliefs are, we would agree that the government does not have much of a track record of success.
The free enterprise system IE. insurance companies are struggling with their version of health care system management. They keep cutting services and benefits to their subscribers in an attempt to turn a profit which is demanded by stock holders. If you are lucky enough to receive health insurance benefits from your employer you are in most cases required to pay a portion of the premium. Kinda expensive isn’t it?
An acquaintance of mine was unlucky enough to make a trip to his local emergency room to have his dislocated shoulder relocated. He was there for four hours, two of which were in the waiting room. They put him back together and sent him on his way with a bag of pills and a bill for $3500.00. This my friends is outrageous. I know that the health care provider will tell you that they have to charge that much to cover the overhead of their shiny castle and make up for those that don’t pay. That’s a bunch of bunk.
No one seems to question the bill pill makers. No one seems to question the x-ray machine makers or the large health providers. Mr Obama? Are you there? We now control the banks, the auto industry, and student loan programs. We dare not let this go any further Mr. President. You may want to control the national health care but the health care system is broken and broken badly. If you want to do something start at the other end. Fix the high prices, control the big pill makers. OH! that’s right, I’m sorry they are major contributors to the old campaign and a few of them are sitting on your advisory panel. Guess that won’t work either.
Like Granny says, “Aint No Use Fillin” The Bucket Till Ya Fix The Hole” Mr. President forget about the Olympics. Help our soldiers, consider your Generals requests, and look up trillion in the dictionary.
Who Are Our Friends?
The UN met this week and we had the pleasure of listening to our new friends.
I remember through the years, Queen Elizabeth and or the Prime Minister of England, visiting and always standing beside us in any battles along with most of the European Countries, Australia, and Canada and many more. President Obama could not even make time to meet with PM Brown after Obama took office. PM Brown tried to meet with the Pres. five times and was turned down.
Now our friends are being snubbed constantly by this administration, deals being renigged on, and ignoring the importance of trust.
Instead we have new friends, who would rather kill us than be friends. Libya is not our friend, Iran is not our friend, Venezuela is not our friend, Russia, though we’ve tried, does not seem to be our friend. Yet Pres. Obama appears to be more interested in friendship with these countries, than standing strong with our allies.
Pres. Obama continues to ignore the problems we have had to deal with over the years, as if to ignore will make everyone forget. He continues to apologize for the only nation in the world, that has spent more lives and money trying to help other nations in need than any other.
